This recipe is from Dr. Michael Greger's How Not to Diet Cookbook. It is a delicious treat that is yummy as the pears have a splash of a ginger, lemon, date syrup sauce.
2 pears sliced down the middle
1 TBSP date syrup
1 tsp. ginger powder
1TBSP fresh lemon juice
Slice the pears horizontally and scoop out the seeds from the middle of each
Combine the date syrup, ginger powder and lemon juice ( you may need to microwave for 10 seconds to mix them thoroughly
Pour in center of each pear
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
