Surprise your family and friends with these tasty morsels of deliciousness and healthy ingredients! Just need 10 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees and voila, you have a decadent dessert. This is my first taste of a fresh fig and I'm now a huge fan!
Ingredients:
6 fresh figs (they should be soft to the touch)
1/4 cup ground fresh walnuts
1tsp. ground cardamom ( if you don't have this, can be made without and still be very tasty)
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp date syrup
Directions:
Wash the figs and trim the rough ends from figs
grind the walnuts and cardamom together so they are finely ground
pour 1 tsp. lemon juice in small bowl with date syrup and add to the walnut mixture
Slice the figs with an X 3/4 down the fig so that you create space in the middle of the fig
Put small amount of nut mixture into center of each fig
Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
